Conway defends Trump: 'He doesn't hurl personal insults'

By GABBY MORRONGIELLO (@GABRIELLAHOPE_) • 8/21/16 11:08 AM

Donald Trump may engage in the occasional name-calling or Twitter war, but he does not level personal attacks against others, his newly-minted campaign manager said on Sunday.

"I don't like when people hurl personal insults, that will never change," Kellyanne Conway, who was promoted to manager of Trump's presidential campaign last week, told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "I'm the mother of four small children. That would be a terrible example for me to feel otherwise."

"He doesn't hurl personal insults," Conway said. "Just this week, look what he talked about. He's bringing the case right to communities of color in Michigan and he's speaking to all Americans when he does that."

Six months ago, however, Conway during an appearance on CNN slammed Trump for doing exactly that.

"I think people will think thrice now when they go into that ballot box and say, 'Look, I tried to send a message all along to Donald Trump, to the establishment, but now I've got to get serious about sending somebody to the White House. And do I want somebody who hurls personal insults or who goes and talks about philosophical differences?'" Conway said at the time.

Conway signed on as an adviser to Trump shortly before the Republican convention last month and has been credited with the GOP presidential nominee's recent decision to deliver prepared remarks at his campaign rallies and expand his outreach African-American voters.

She rejects your reality and replaces it with the one Trump pays her to use.

"Here she is shutting down Scottie Nell Hughes and calling him “vulgar” for hurling personal insults:"

Conway in her own words:

"Do I want somebody who hurls personal insults (Trump) or who goes and talks about philosophical differences (Cruz)?"

from Steve Deace:

Quote
Update: In total, the Trump campaign spent $7.7 million, or roughly about 45% of its total July expenditures, on reimbursing of Trump family members and companies.

The Trump Scampaign keeps raking in the money from the suckers.
