Republicans shook up Trump’s failing campaign today by promoting his pollster to campaign manager because she has a reputation for treating the Republican nominee like a child and keeping him “calm.”

Trump stated in the press release that his former pollster/new campaign manager will be traveling with him often, “Ms. Conway, a highly sought-after pollster, will work on messaging and travel frequently with Mr. Trump, while working closely with Mr. Bannon and Mr. Manafort on all aspects of the campaign moving forward.”

The reason why Kellyanne Conway will often be traveling with Trump tells voters everything they need to know about his temperament problem. According to a July 2016 Washington Post story, Trump’s new campaign manager treats Trump like she does her 11-year-old daughter:

Conway, 49, hints how she’ll tackle this challenge. You can’t just tell Trump what to do, she said. You have to give him options. She illustrates the point with a story about her 11-year-old daughter.

When Claudia emerged from her room on Memorial Day sporting turquoise, Conway asked her to change into blue. “She goes, ‘Turquoise is blue.’ And it is. But it wasn’t a shade available to Betsy Ross when she stayed up through the night sewing the damn flag.” She chose not to argue with the preteen, which would have delayed their morning. Instead, she laid out four Betsy Ross blue choices on her bed. “Minutes later,” she says, “she came out in one of those shades.”

Conway follows the same approach with the Republican presidential nominee. Never command. That could insult him. Always make suggestions, backed with information in 10-second sound bites: Betsy Ross lacked turquoise. Female voters want compassion.

Conway got promoted to campaign manager because Donald Trump needs a babysitter who will treat him like a child.

America is about to treat him like a child.  In November America will do the equivalent of sending him back to boarding/military school.  Anything to get him to 'go away' and STFU for a while (like his parents had to do).

At first I thought this thread was started to collect parody. I now suspect many of these people won't put Trump on their Christmas card list.

My son is a career military man. During the primaries he was a "Never Trumper" (however you say such a thing). I think he still was about a month after Cruz withdrew. Then he wavered. He will now vote for Trump.

Like most of us, he doesn't think he knows what Trump will do in any future event.  None of us do. He has a massive capacity to disappoint. He may do things utterly exhilarating.

Clinton, on the other hand, will never disappoint. She will be consistent with her life. You expect her to be utterly corrupt 24 hours every day. Since we know that at the start, she can't disappoint us. She still can and will cause damage with every move.

Everything the press has said about Trump, even the material it has created out of decayed papyrus, can be applied to clinton, roughly tenfold.

Knowing what we know today, one of these two will take the oath of office in January. It sounds more and more like the most virulent Never Trumpeters (however you say such a thing) were also Never Republican. People who spend so many waking moments and so much energy trying to defeat Trump can look in the mirror and see a clinton shill staring back at them.

There is a comment early in this thread referring to a thought in a Washington Post story. If your agenda is to destroy Trump, the Post would be, at least, tied for your best source. The problem is, the Post would publish the same hit piece, again and again, regarding any Republican that managed to get the nod.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments. We need more posts like yours. I used to contribute quite a bit of comments here myself. Unfortunately, TBR, which has been my home for 7+ years has gotten a reputation now as a hate Trump, republican nominee, site. I post very little these day because of the wolf pack mentality here that attacks any positive news about the GOP nominee.
