Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen to CNN: We’re Losing? ‘Says Who?’

Michael Cohen, a lawyer for the Trump Organization and frequent spokesperson for Donald Trump, summed up the campaign’s take on the candidate’s flailing poll numbers—especially in key battleground states—with two words: “Says who?”

During a Wednesday CNN appearance, host Brianna Keilar asked Cohen to comment on the what can only be described as a “shake-up” in Trump’s campaign staff, noting in the process, “You guys are down.” Cohen quickly interrupted her by asking, “Says who?” When Keilar replied, “Polls,” he repeated his question, followed by, “Which polls?” Keilar said, “All of them.” Cohen had no rebuttal for that point.

 As of Wednesday evening, FiveThirtyEight’s polls-only forecast gives Hillary Clinton an 88.3-percent chance of winning the presidency while The New York Times has her at 87 percent.

The LA Times poll is an outlier.  We'll see how reliable it is as the election draws near.

No. It is producing results different from every other polling organization. 

Those polls are not "cooked."  We don't have the demographic breakdown of the LA Times poll, so we don't know what the percentages are of Democrats, Republicans, Independents.

It is interesting to note that, when questioned about who will win, Hillary gets 54%, Trump gets 40%.  Trump voters don't seem very confident.

Trump is down 6 points in the RCP average of polls, including the LA Times poll.  Nate Silver's 538 has Hillary's odds of winning at 87%; the New York Times, at 89%.   

Trump is losing in every single battleground state and is within two points of Hillary in Georgia and Arizona, states he should be winning handily.

You can believe whatever you want, but no poll is "moving in Trump's direction."
