A Milwaukee police officer believed to have shot dead a black man he went to high school with has been receiving death threats.
Police haven't released the name of the officer who shot 23-year-old Sylville Smith on Saturday following a traffic stop, but widely shared social media posts and at least one news report identified him as a 24-year-old Dominique Heaggan-Brown.
At least 3,000 people shared a Facebook photo of Heaggan-Brown, who was independently identified by the Journal-Sentinal.
