America is founded on the notion that anyone that immigrates to this nation becomes an American... and that their children are American.
Trump believes, and in the case of Judge Curiel, stated that a child of legal immigrants is not an American, but a citizen of the nation where his parents were born... Mexico.
That is a betrayal of one of our most fundamental American concepts.
He's also said much the same with regards to Muslims. Furthermore, his attacks on Ted Cruz's citizenship are also in the same vein.

America was founded on the principle of
Jus soli (Latin: right of the soil), commonly referred to as birthright citizenship, is the right of anyone born in the territory of a state to nationality or citizenship.
This is fundamentally at odds with the very concept of America itself.
