Bernie Sanders proved capitalism is alive and well when he paid a whopping $600,000 for a lakefront home in Vermont this week.

The former presidential nominee purchased a spacious, four-bedroom home with 500 feet of beachfront on Lake Champlain that his family plans to use seasonally.

“We’ve traveled up to the islands many times over the years — almost always on day trips,” Jane Sanders said in a statement.

His defenders now are saying the wife inherited a home, which they sold to purchase this one. That's why we need excessive inheritance taxes, to ensure that no one inherits vacation homes from their evil rich capitalist relatives.

Oh, Bernie's all about the Scandinavian model.  In Sweden the bureaucrats come under social pressure if they build a "large" home.  Instead, they plow their wealth into a mountain house, a lake house, a flat in Stockholm, a folly, etc.
