Pence defends Trump: He was rallying gun owners to vote

By Harper Neidig

GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence came to his running mate’s defense on Tuesday after Donald Trump appeared to joke about gun owners killing Hillary Clinton.

During a rally on Tuesday, Trump was blasting Clinton for wanting to “essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” and warning the crowd that judges she nominated would likely gut gun rights.

“By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks,” he said. “Though the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know.”

Pence dismissed concerns that the remarks were a call to violence.

“I think what Donald Trump is clearly saying was that people who cherish that right, people who believe that firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens make our communities more safe, not less safe, should be involved in the political process and let their voice be heard,” the Indiana governor told an NBC reporter in Lancaster, Penn.

No Pence.  It's not what Trump was clearly stating.

Trump doesn't say anything clearly.  That's why he gets his ass in a crack.

Forgotten is his economic speech.

Forgotten is Mateen's father at Hillary's rally.

Once again, today and tomorrow will be about Trump and his terrible temperament.  This is why Trump is losing and is going to lose.

That's pretty clear. It's like last time, the left was implying Santorum said something that he didn't. There is a scandal every day.

Agreed. Trump gives Hillary all the sound bytes she needs.  Is he supposed to be on our side?  I think not.

I wonder which reporters told Trump they agree with his interpretation.

Good grief.  I'm about as anti-Trump as you can get, but to me he clearly didn't indicate violence -- he was defending the 2nd amendment and stated in essence that VOTERS could stop Hillary from shredding the 2nd amendment by not voting for her.  Clinton is notorious for twisting people's words.  She knows that Trump now has a reputation for making bombastic statements and she will indeed use that to her advantage.  Trump has given her plenty of ammunition.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
