Only it isn't letting Hillary get what could well inevitably be BAD press, either.

I'm not sure if it is an ego thing, whether it is strategy run wild getting free airtime, or if he's trying to throw the race.

Anyone who remembers the Palin 'targeted' controversy knows this is par for the course by the liberal media. Trump's mouth and inability to study political history are proving a yuge liability.

I think the point no one is addressing is that should Hillary become the next pResident of the White House and the Supreme Court decides to 'change' the meaning of the 2nd Amendment citizens do have an obligation to reject an unlawful law. But Trump was not articulate enough to make that point either.

At this point, I'm convinced that it's all just one big game for Trump.  He's having fun with it.  He's getting to be himself, in all his obnoxious glory, and is enjoying this ability to say and do whatever he feels like at any given moment.....all the while making the GOP and Republicans look like the idiots they apparently ARE for still supporting him.  It's a win-win for Trump (and for Hillary), you know.  And he's going for the gusto....in the next three months.  Bet on it.

that truth is stranger than fiction.  Especially considering...that Trump hasn't just "winked" at barbarism (violence or instigating such)....

he has embraced it.....even while extending his index finger at voters who disapprove of him and his rhetoric.

From my perspective....he has deliberately given the impression that he is 'all in' and A-ok with vigilantism.  It's the little hints he gives in his comments.  You know...the ones his supporters have to run out and parse, defend and explain away from what he intended to say.

From my perspective....he has deliberately given the impression that he is 'all in' and A-ok with vigilantism.  It's the little hints he gives in his comments.  You know...the ones his supporters have to run out and parse, defend and explain away from what he intended to say.

That he's "given the impression" is the important part here.  I don't think he actually is "for" actual vigilantism (or has even thought about it), but Trump is a very effective demagogue, and he understands the sort of language needed to rev up his constituency. 

There is a segment among his constituency who talk a lot about taking matters into their own hands (there are a lot of that sort over at TOS).  Not that most of them ever would -- they're just venting.

Unfortunately, there are some who might well turn from talk to action.  Not unlike the handful of BLM folks who have decided that it's not enough just to talk about shooting cops....

The real irony in all this is the smears they brought against Ted Cruz for allegedly saying Trump caused the rioters in the streets (not what Cruz said, Cruz said the responsibility for the actions of the rioters belonged with the rioters), when Cruz followed that with the statement that a Candidate is the head of his campaign, and sets the tone of that campaign, which was referring to things getting rough in the rallies themselves. And now, it appears Mr. Trump is advocating violence?
