In a shocking new poll, Trump is down by only 3 points

After a week of being behind Hillary Clinton by ten points or more in various polls, Donald Trump has suddenly pulled to nearly even in a national poll by Reuters/Ipsos released Saturday.

Clinton leads with 42 percent of the vote compared to 39 percent for Trump, a significant gain for the GOP nominee, who had been behind by eight points in a Reuters poll Monday.

"The reasons behind the shift were unclear," Reuters said.

The survey was conducted July 31 to August 4 as controversy raged over Trump's response to a Muslim couple...

Imagine that!...these polls are so phony...we really won't know how close it is until we are 10 to 7 days out...

Polling this far out is about trends.  And the trend is against Trump. 

He's still behind; the last ten polls in the RCP average have Hillary up by an average of 6.8 points.

Huh? The story here is a three point Trump bump (same polling outfit) during the time frame he was having a terrible week.

Shocking?????? How is a one point bump shocking?

Using the same poll being quoted in the story, Hillary is down one point from last time Reuters/Ipos reported which was July 29.

July 29 - General Election: Trump vs. Clinton Reuters/Ipsos Clinton 40, Trump 35 Clinton +5
