Donald Trump might be unwilling to support Arizona Sen. John McCain's re-election bid, but Ohio Gov. John Kasich thinks McCain deserves a lifetime appointment to the Senate.

"Honestly, I don't even think they ought to have an election. They ought to tell McCain, as long as you want to be in the Senate, you can have it," Kasich told WGN radio. "He's just the greatest guy."

Kasich avoided talking about Trump, his former GOP primary rival. The Ohio governor said "you would have to be living in a cave to not know" his opinion about the GOP nominee, and spoke about the election in terms that seemed to imply Hillary Clinton's victory is inevitable.

"Hillary's nothing more than top-down, more bureaucracy, more government, and this is the 21st century — you can't run anything that way," Kasich said. "It is absolutely vital in my opinion that if she were to win that there is a big check on her, which involves the United States Senate and the United States House."

Stupidity abounds in the GOP.

Stupidity abounds everywhere because there are lots of stupid people.  There are also smart people who sometimes say stupid things.  If you judged every political party by whether or not it had some stupid people, you couldn't support anyone.

Perhaps Kasich needs to review the Constitution of the United States; in particular, Article I, Section 3.  Secondly, Senators aren't appointed, they are elected.

So in Amerika today - we have advocates for:

Lifetime appointments.

Political saviors.

Growing Statism.

Democratic Socialism.

An applauded monarchy by the masses.


Just more proof that in the minds of many, many, many Americans both low and high - the Constitution no longer matters and is no longer relevant.

The Republic is dead in in all practicality and already embalmed and buried in the hearts and minds of this people.

We will speak of it as if it was still present with us, but soon the memory will fade, reality that representation is gone and life will go on under the despotism we have grown accustomed.
