Federal prosecutors have indicted 46 suspects on organized crime counts

FBI and NYPD swooped Thursday, arresting at least 41 people

They include alleged members of four of New York's five Mafia families

Joseph Merlino, alleged boss of the Philadelphia mob, was also arrested

He allegedly ran the operation with  Pasquale Parrello and Eugene Onofrio

Gun-running, extortion and arson are some counts against the suspects

Crimes allegedly occurred in NY, Florida, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts

The assault occurred outside 'Pasquale's Rigoletto Restaurant' in the Bronx, owned by Parrello, when he told his goons to beat up a panhandler, court papers claim.

They said that his men first threatened the wrong man, then set about beating the panhandler 'with glass jars, sharp objects and steel-tipped boots, causing bodily harm.'

Authorities say the East Coast Enterprise was also involved in loansharking, casino-style gambling, sports gambling and credit card fraud.

There was a bust in the last 10 years where the arrests were over Union involvement on the Eastern Seaboard.

Assad harbored Saddam's brother, Assad allowed terrorists to set up camps in Syria and attack our forces, fine with me if we sent arms to a lot of those rebels in Syria. Assad dynasty is largely thought to have helped the terrorist attack in Beirut that leveled the marine barracks.

If the blame game goes around per the Iraq invasion, Syria and Iran certainly did their part.
