Captain Humayun Khan has been described as an 'amazing leader ' and a 'friend' by a fellow troop was stationed in Iraq when he was killed by a suicide bomber.

Sgt. Lacy Walker said the Muslim-American soldier, whose parents are in the middle of a feud with Donald Trump, was 'always there' for everybody.

She added that when Capt. Khan was around, everybody knew they would be taken care of and safe.

Capt. Khan died after a suicide bomber stormed into his base in 2008. But his story has risen to prominence again after his parents spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
