Clinton camp begins transition efforts: report

By Jessie Hellmann

The Hillary Clinton campaign has officially begun organizing its transition team, The Associated Press reports.

The Democratic presidential nominee tapped campaign chairman John Podesta as president of the effort and long-time aide Minyon Moore as secretary, according to the AP.

Clinton also formed a new nonprofit, the Clinton-Kaine Transition Fund. Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine is her running mate.

Most of the team's efforts will focus on creating lists of possible administration appointees and developing a roadmap for her policy agenda.

Both the Clinton campaign and GOP rival Donald Trump's campaign became eligible after the nominating conventions to receive intelligence briefings for transition planning.
