Trump: Putin's 'not gonna go into Ukraine'

Donald Trump said in an interview Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin isn't going to go into Ukraine, even though the Russian military has intervened in the nation's affairs since 2014.

"He's not going into Ukraine, OK, just so you understand. He's not gonna go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down. You can put it down," Trump said Sunday on ABC's "This Week."

Host George Stephanopoulos pushed back, saying, "Well, he's already there, isn't he?"

Puerto Rico is part of the US, those people are US citizens. Ukraine is a sovereign nation that rejected a Russian puppet. These are not similar.

The EU should provide loans...  and America sells offensive military equipment to the Ukrainian government.

Third-party allies (South Korea, for example) train the Ukrainian military to fight.

NATO keeps Russia guessing by moving land forces into Poland... and naval forces into the Baltic for long-term "training exercises".  This forces Russia to spread their forces out, preventing them from massing in any one area (ie: Baltic states, Poland, or the Ukraine).

In addition, an increased trading partnership with the Ukraine, maybe even help establish an international trade port in the Azov or Black Sea (possibly oil as they are rich in it). It would be mutually beneficial to both nations and it would make Russia think twice about going in if there is a risk of them also attacking US interests.

Trump is on record as stating that those NATO members that do not contribute enough will not receive US protection.  That destroys the trust between NATO allies.  It is the end of NATO.
