KRAKOW, Poland (AP) -- Pope Francis encouraged hundreds of thousands of young people at a global gathering of the faithful Sunday to "believe in a new humanity" that is stronger than evil and refuses to see borders as barriers.

"People may judge you to be dreamers, because you believe in a new humanity, one that rejects hatred between peoples, one that refuses to see borders as barriers and can cherish its own traditions without being self-centered or small-minded," Francis told his flock, many of them in their late teens, 20s or 30s.

It's stupid to infer that Francis' call for a new humanity is somehow a devolution into humanism.

Did you watch any of World Youth Day?  Did you see the Pope praying over and over?

We know you don't like Jews.  Now, I guess, you're showing us you don't much care for Catholics either.

There's a word for that.

===================================

Romans 1: 24~32

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

How sad to put your faith in man or humanity.  Have we not learned from history how that works out?  There is only ONE to believe in, and He will in His time bring about the new humanity He has started to create in us.
God is still in control

Actually, humanism would be an improvement. The "new man" is pure and simple Marxist thought.

   Islam is a cult. Not a religion. Pope part of the globalist regime. He is one of them. He will get a real surprise if sharia takes over. That wall around the Vatican won't hold back sharia types, they will burn it down along with all inside.

The Pope heads a Church and is not part of any kind of "globalist regime."  Your understanding of the Pope, particularly this Pope, is clearly deficient..

I like this Pope actually. In this case he is talking to a bunch of kids as a religious leader and his comments seem perfectly appropriate for that audience. Seems to me people who take the statements he makes as a religious leader and try to put them in a political context are comparing apples and oranges...
