Trump: Republicans 'have no choice' but to vote for me

By Jesse Byrnes

Donald Trump said Thursday that Republicans wary of his campaign have little choice but to vote for him anyway.

"If you really like Donald Trump, that's great, but if you don't, you have to vote for me anyway. You know why? Supreme Court judges, Supreme Court judges," Trump said at a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

"Have no choice, sorry, sorry, sorry. You have no choice," Trump continued, calling the late Justice Antonin Scalia a "great guy" and acknowledging tied decisions at the Supreme Court after his death.

Trump said the next president "will probably have three, could be four, could even be five" appointments to make to the Supreme Court, alluding to the ages of senior justices.

Trump dismissed critics who speculate he may appoint liberal judges and said if Hillary Clinton appoints judges: "You're going to end up with another Venezuela. You're going to be Venezuela."

Senate Republicans have denied hearings and a vote on President Obama's Supreme Court pick to fill the seat vacated by the death of Scalia in February, arguing the next president should make the pick.

Trump scheduled his rally Thursday night to counteract speeches in the final night of the Democratic National Convention, where Clinton will officially accept her party's nomination.

It's more likely we'll be Venezuela if Trump is elected.  He's got these dictators on his mind lately, doesn't he?

Way to be conciliatory Trump.  Keep this up and only your noisy little cult of personality will be voting for you in November.  We have the option of voting third party or only voting down ticket.  You need us more than we need you.

If Trump were to be elected, I predict that the Scalia appointment will be the only appointment he gets to make.  Unless somebody dies in office, this Supreme Court argument is just bogus.

I had another thought.  Did he not dismiss the idea of retaining the House and Senate, which would make his appointments moot?

Rob Portman in Ohio got the endorsement of, of all organizations, Black Lives Matter and the Teamsters and is leading Ted Strickland, while Trump is tied.

Voters are going to split their votes this fall, so there is likely a chance the GOP retains the Senate.

The stink of trump is wafting over what is left of the GOP. Much like the smell of death.

With Pence's comments yesterday on "insults" on the campaign trail:

Mike Pence seems to have decided to just spend the rest of the campaign pretending he's unaware who his running mate is.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I'm a Conservative and not a Republican.  I'm simply not voting.  That's my choice and I'm happy with it.

I can't explain Christians going with Trump.  They have been supporting him even early in the Primaries.  Makes me wonder about the body.

I would say to Trump don't bet on it.  I have a choice and I won't be bullied by Trump.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

One always has choices.  Between bashing the Colorado Springs fire department and now this doing the best to alienate the conservatives who are still looking for a reason to vote for him, Trump is showing an astounding level of arrogance and incompetence.  I guess we better get used to the idea of queen Hilary because I don't see trump pulling it together enough to win an election for class president let alone POTUS
God is still in control

???  Have you done any research on this??? The Supreme Court argument is NOT bogus.  Consider their ages.  Only 3 Supreme Court justices are under 65 years of age. One needs to be appointed to replace Scalia and 2 are in their 80's.  That's 3 supreme courts justices that will more than likely be appointed within the next 4 years.

Justice Ruth Ginsburg      - 83

Justice Anthony Kennedy  - 80

Justice Stephen Bryer - 77

Justice Clarence Thomas - 68

Justice Samuel Alito - 66

Justice Sonya Sotomayer - 62

Justice John Roberts - 61
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
