Giuliani suggests Russia hacked Clinton emails just like DNC's

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani blasted Democrats for “a pattern that’s emerging” of a lack of responsibility with emails during a Republican National Committee news conference, suggesting Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s email had been hacked.

“Hillary Clinton couldn’t keep top secret emails safe, nor can the Democratic National Committee,” he said. “If Russia or someone else hacked those materials, don’t you think they hacked her emails, the ones that contained sensitive top secret material?”

The comments came shortly after Donald Trump gave a whirlwind news conference in which he suggested that Russia should hack into Hillary Clinton's private email server and release the deleted messages. It was a dramatic escalation after critics suggested the Kremlin was behind the hack and release of a trove of embarrassing emails from the Democratic National Committee in an effort to boost Trump's campaign.
