A Longview rape victim who was jailed in Houston for nearly a month because prosecutors feared she would not return to testify after having a mental breakdown on the stand has sued the Harris County District Attorney's Office, county officials and jail employees.

The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, was held in the general population at the Harris County Jail — the same place where the rape suspect, Keith Hendricks, was housed......

....In what the district attorney later called "an extraordinarily difficult and unusual situation," because of concern she would not return to the courtroom, a judge had her locked up until the trial resumed, even though she was not charged with a crime.....

If all this is true and it sounds pretty straight forward then she should become deservedly wealthy.  This is frightening for sure that a judge could have her locked because of something she might not do, having committed no crime other than being a victim of assault, no charges and the penal system obediently complies without a wit of complaint.  This does not bode well for our justice system, but then it is just another log on the fire of corruption burning ferociously throughout a tyrannical government.  She will be offered a settlement and she should take it because the outcome of a law suit that puts tyranny in charge of judging itself will likely wind up having her back in jail if not an institute for the criminally insane.
There was a time when such a comment would rightly be consider hyperbole but not anymore.  Yeah I'm that pessimistic across the board about the current condition of our Republic, tyranny is an all consuming inferno the flames are everywhere no escape in sight, and the most qualified fire chief dedicated to dousing the flames has been rejected for the most capable of two arsonists.  Cruz 2016... I am of the mind there will be nothing left but a giant smoldering ash heap by 2020.
Facts, Reason, Logic and Common Sense when consistently applied ultimately leads to the proper conclusion!  It worked for our Founding Fathers.
