WELLINGTON — The U.S. Navy will send a ship to New Zealand in November, Vice President Joe Biden confirmed Thursday, the first visit of its kind since New Zealand became nuclear free in 1987.
Biden said the decision to send a ship to the Royal New Zealand Navy's 75th birthday celebrations in November was a major step towards rebuilding closer ties between the two countries.
