They just allocated all of Alaska's delegates to Trump even though it is not a winner take all State and their voters didn't vote that way. Here were Alaska's results and delegate allocation:

Ted Cruz
36.4%
12 / 28
Donald Trump
33.5%
11
Marco Rubio
15.1%
5
Ben Carson
10.9%
0
John Kasich
4.1%

I don't understand how they are accumulating the delegate count...  It seems ONE representative is giving the total delegate votes, and they are all going to Trump.

Is this how it's supposed to be? How can a delegate withhold their vote then?

Yep, I misunderstood. They were dispensing with allowing any other names put in official nomination (breaking tradition).

Whips are now telling delegations they can just cast all their votes for Trump, no matter who they are pledged to. How's that for the will of the primary voters?

 By the way: Told you so.


 Follow up prediction: Any vote cast for Trump, that was pledged to someone else, will be recorded for Trump with no resistance from the stage. Any vote cast for someone other than Trump that wasn't pledged to Trump will at some point be recorded as a vote for Trump.
