It is tradition that any candidate who has delegates is put up for nomination as an honor for their run and to recognize their delegates and voters. They are dispensing with that as well as the roll call if I understood Ryan correctly.

I'm sorry, but I'm with Dana Loesch.  I didn't watch last night so I don't know what music was played, but Loesch says its time to liven up the place and play some music that indicates not everyone in the hall is a Lawrence Welk fan. She proposed Guns and Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" with screeching bald eagles flying out over the place, and a monster light show.  And if G&R or any other band protests the use of their music, tell them, "Too bad you licensed it" and shove it in their faces by playing more of it.
