As a couple of guys on local radio this morning pointed out, there are software tools that can do a search on any quote and tell you where and how many times it's been used; there are people in the speech writing business who are familiar with virtually every important campaign speech given, and can recognize if a turn of phrase sounds like something that has been used before. This is Politics 101, and the Trump Campaign is failing.

Every professor who has ever graded a paper (like ME) knows that there is software that picks up plagiarism.......... even a tiny little bit.

The idea that the speechwriter didn't know this was Michelle's speech is absurd. 

Melania probably didn't, but she claimed that she wrote it herself, so that's another matter entirely.....

Personally I don't mind the arrangements here too much; I can understand Trump supporters wanting to discuss their stuff without having to constantly defend Trump. The arguments have been made. The die has been cast and other than grumbling, we #Never Trump folks are in for a wild ride no matter what happens. The focus of the grassroots needs to be on the races for their congress critters and local positions so there's plenty of work to be done.
After all of Donald's work to separate himself from the Republican Party I wonder if he's shortened cut off his own coattails.
