They've never even acknowledged that we exist, Sanguine, other than to dismiss us as the enemy.  WE were the ones who worked at got the House majority in 2010, and they completely dismissed our grassroots efforts.

As I see it, what they did yesterday was to make it official and not just implied.  Conservatives are not wanted in the Republican party.

They're going to be shocked to find out what that's going to mean to their power.

As I've said before, I've been on the Conservative edge of an increasingly liberal party, hoping for reform, but this election has pushed me right out the door.  There are no values that I share with them any more.  None.

The side by side video is pretty damning. It wasn't just a case of following a theme. Her speech writers lifted passages. The official response seems to be mixed. From Manfort and company, the reaction is 'no she didn't, it was similar'. On the Citizens for Trump page I posted from upthread, they official response for the blogosphere/social media is to be: She didn't plagiarize, she was inspired by former first ladies like Michelle Obama and was honoring them.

Waiting to see what becomes the official excuse.

Ivanka Trump pulled out the Erdogan card and said Republicans not backing Trump "don't want to be part of the future."

Sounds like they will need lots of trains and big ovens.

Guys, I created this thread yesterday because I knew the main thread was not going to be as loose as I wanted it to be. I never expected this to be any more than a lame alternative with a few contributors.  Had no idea it was going to be so popular.

I am not going to spend any of my time trashing decisions by the owners of this forum or making light of the other thread.  They're gonna do what they're gonna do. 

We have much more robust discussions over here, so I'm going to stay over here.

Does anyone really care about that speech?  Really?  So trivial in comparison to the other issues of the day/week.  Just because the rats are trying to make an issue of it, doesn't mean that anti-Trumpers should as well.  JS....

And....they'd be wrong about that.  They need every single damned vote, and then some, this November in order to defeat Hillary (remember ACORN?).  I don't think they have any idea just how pissed off the conservative base has been and is.....especially now.  They will withhold their vote in November, just as they did in 2008 and 2012.  Can you say "Hello, President Hillary"?

Yeah, and that's a great point - they would rather have a President clinton that do what it takes to bring conservatives back into the fold.  We need to pay attention to that - and, I'm not talking just about the GOPe, because at this point I think a good case could be made that they're a branch of the global uniparty.
