The Game meets with L.A. gangs in an effort to stop killings

Hip-hop artist the Game urged gang members from across Southern California on Sunday to stop the violence in the midst of the national focus on the recent police shootings of African-American men.

The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, told the hundreds gathered for a town-hall style meeting at a South Los Angeles community center that he was pushing a positive message because one day, he hopes his daughter will be able to walk the streets “a little safer.”

In his Instagram post Sunday morning, before news spread of the killings of three police officers in Baton Rouge, La., the Game wrote that the meeting would be a “much needed conversation” about how participants could do their part to stop urban violence.

“Because the sad truth that no one wants to face is, before we can get OUR LIVES TO MATTER to anyone else…We have to show that OUR LIVES MATTER to US!!!!,” he wrote.

He wants to meet with the gangs? Well, that's nice. Is he going to meet with all the gangs and all the other black killers across the country?
 Go to any fairly large city news site (CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX) on the internet and read the morning news. Generally without fail every big city in the country with a substantial black population will have reports of shootings, stabbings, assaults, killings of black people usually by other black people.
It's nice that one "famous" black person (whom I've never heard of)  recognizes the problem. But until the overwhelming majority of black people understand that they themselves are causing 99% of the trauma in their communities will things start to improve.

Good for him for making the effort. Maybe other "influential" black folks could try encouraging people to respect life - all life, especially in their own neighborhoods. Instead, we see the Beyonce, Kanye, NBA players type of crap of supporting BLM and other hatefulness.

Apparently both he and Snoop Dog did a press conference with the LAPD talking about how the cops weren't the enemy, and then there was some march or something and they walked it in solidarity with the cops.  Also, Richard Sherman has been very open about how his best friend was killed by 2 black guys and Ray Lewis, who has a very sketchy past, posted a video to the internet where he just goes off about black on black crime in Chicago, he ends up in tears.
There are black celebrities speaking out, they are just being out-shouted by the mal-contents.

Yes, I've read some accounts from other blacks who seem to get it. But they appear to be in a very small minority of those who do get it. Until blacks realize they're their own worst enemy (I'm not holding my breath), things will never progress. It's long past time for them to stop blaming Evil Whitey for their problems.
