Serial Killer Who Stabbed and Torched San Diego’s Homeless Arrested, Cops Say
People on the streets were sharpening knives and sleeping with one eye open before police arrested John David Guerrero for stabbing and torching several victims.
SAN DIEGO — The city’s homeless will sleep better tonight now that police say the serial killer attacking them has been stopped.
For the past two weeks, people on the streets have been sleeping with one eye open, cuddling up with any blade they can find. Since July 3, three people have been murdered and two others seriously injured by a man who stabbed his homeless victims as they slept and lit two on fire.
“It’s the talk of the town everywhere,” a 52-year-old man who gave only his first name, Rick, said. “Guys who been on the streets a long time are scared to sleep alone.”
On Friday morning just before dawn, there was another attack leaving a man with a serious chest wound. Soon after, police arrested John David Guerrero, 39, of San Diego on three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of arson.

So, they released the individual named Padgett about a week ago, I posted that story, and apparently now they think this fellow, Guerrero did it.
