It's officially Trump's party, and he and his zombie followers can have it. I'm glad I left months ago.

I'm waiting until Trump's acceptance speech, mostly out of personal convenience.  Then I'm giving my Senators and Congressional candidate notice that I'll vote against and support the opposition of anyone allied with Trump.  If they end up being Bernie dead-enders?  So be it.  The result will be no different than supporting little Trumpkin robots.

I would like to see hundreds of delegates bolt.

Same here.  This is banana republic stuff, but I expect nothing less from the GOP-E and Trump.

Can someone please show me where it says someone agreeing to be a delegate can disregard the people's vote and the rules in place and take it upon themselves to vote their own unique "conscience"?

Please... where was this agreed to?

Thanks.

(Rules Committee) talking about 1976

Nice.  Is Manafort giving them the play-by-play of how he was able to successfully defeat the Conservative move to nominate Reagan?

This may officially mark the beginning of the end of the Republican Party. It will be interesting to see how angry the delegates and other members there are at the high-handedness of the Trump supporters, and what they do about it (if anything).

Absolutely.

The Republican Party just left me.

FU, Mr. Trump.

That's pretty much the stituation.  The GOP-e - AND TRUMP just put a stake through the party's heart.  There may continue to be a so-called "Grand Old Party" for years, but i'll be a permanent loser and rump political movement as it slowly dissolves.

Ya 'all can tell me about the GOP is doing after they lose the Senate by about a dozen seats, and post the sharpest reversal of fortunes for the House in history, plus the largest Democrat House majority, since Roosevelt.   That, plus, about 15% of the congressional seats going to some party other than the GOP or DNC.  Congress will finally be what the Democrats have always wanted, i.e. an American Parliament, just a feckless and toothless as all of the European Parliaments.

I had already left the GOP, now I have good reason to never even consider supporting it.

The Republican Party is dead to me.

If they bolt....they'll be replaced.

So who cares?

Is it OK if I order you to vote Hillary Clinton, if the government passes a law saying I can?

I know you're trying so hard to be clever....but you have fallen so very short.   Your post has nothing to do with the RNC delegate voting rules.

But you know that.

Thanks for copying and pasting your spam every time the name gets mentioned. Again.

You're right!  I knew I recognized that tactic from somewhere, and it turns out to be a TOS trademark.
So, I guess we know where anti_truth_seeker is coming from as well.

Trump and his smelly ilk have made me #NeverGOP

I will consider candidates on their own merits, I will have no special regard for party affiliation.

Sounds like what many of us were saying after the Colorado vote.

But then you were saying something different.

A current Republican US Senator was denied the privilege to address the rules delegates.  Reminds me of tos.

What makes the RNC rules special, or exempt?

Again, is it OK, if an entity ordered you to choose someone you knew was unfit for the office—for example, Hillary Clinton?

Yes or no?
