Why don't the delegates simply abstain from voting! They still have that option don't they? If the get to a second ballot they won't be bound any longer.

I'm sorry but Doug Ocey from CA is pulling a dick move....after every almost amendment, wherein he asks to "Reconsider" thereby getting the NAY vote so the amendment can't be brought up again. :chairbang:

While I find this Rules Committee meeting of delegates interesting, I just wonder how many have been bought off...or threatened. :whistle:

This is a putsch.    Screw 'em all.   Bad people who don't deserve my respect.   I will enjoy the wilderness.   It's better than being soiled by Trumpism.   

There's still the possibility of abstentions rendering Trump unable to amass the needed number to prevail on the first ballot.   It's now time for Cruz, and Kasich, and Romney,  and Lee,  the once and future leaders who haven't to my knowledge been corrupted,  to speak up and urge delegates to abstain and walk off the damn floor.

Same here.  Of the four D-R-L-G party candidates, he is the least ridiculous.  If other conservatives cannot stomach his positions on one policy or another, I hope they will look for write-in or minor party options, rather than enable Trump.
