Just an observation
« on: July 07, 2016, 11:19:57 am »
The Republican Party is dead for all intents and purposes. We haven't been a unified party since 2004.We eat our own at every turn. The Democrats OTOH will fully support the criminal Hillary, and in my estimation will give her the WH.Although I despise Trump,I'm having trouble seeing him as bad as Hillary and Bill and another 8 years of Socialist policies put into place.

While we are talking a convention coupe, that duplicitous bitch is measuring for draperies in the Oval Office. The thought of that should sicken you to the bone.

I think standing on principal is a noble thing but cutting your nose off to spite your face is a whole other selfish matter.

I'm a Cruz supporter through and through and I know he will continue to be a great influence for the conservative cause in whatever capacity he serves.

Again I implore you NeverHillary is far better than never Trump.....I know there are many here that disagree with what I'm saying but when you see the Whore of Babylon being sworn in this January just remember a divided Republican house put her there.

As always if you agree or disagree........Flame On!

No flaming coming from me; though Trump is somewhat less destructive, he has no chance in November.  GOP voters had a golden opportunity to at least slow the progressivist lurch in this country by nominating an electable candidate, but instead went with emotion and selected Trump, who will (barring a last-minute medical event for Hillary) never win a national election.

With respect to you, I don't have to do a damn thing.  I consider Clinton and Trump to be disasters of equal magnitude, and there is no way on earth I would ever consider casting a vote for either.

Please, speak for yourself and do not use the collective pronoun.  I do not support the hand dealt.

I will not vote for either Hillary or Trump as I have  firmly believed from the beginning that Trump's ONLY function in all this is to hand the WH to HIllary.

I'll vote third party or write-in. The disaster Hillary will create with deliberate maliciousness, will be no greater a disaster than Trump will create via ego driven, self-absorbed, impulsive Attention Deficit Disorder.

The Democrats OTOH will fully support the criminal Hillary

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That statement applies to the Democrat/Media/Wall Street establishment more than it does to everyday people, but overall I agree with your opinion. I will vote for Trump because I believe Hillary and her crew are several magnitudes worse than he could ever be.

A vote for Third Party or not voting are both a vote in favor of Hillary. This is not conjecture or hyperbole, it is a cold hard realistic fact. If there are people here who would rather see Hillary win than Trump, then so be it. But please do not insult the rest of us by pretending that you do not know what you are doing. If you are doing a deliberate action which will result in Hillary getting elected, then directly or indirectly, how ever you want to look at it, you voted for Hillary in one way or another. Not doing a thing is as big a deliberate action as is actually doing something.

With all the dead people, foreigners, and illegals, the Dems will have voting this year, every vote counts more than ever or Hillary WILL be elected. This is not a theory or a game. It is real.

For most of us, this is a lesser-of-two-evils election.   Many will blanche at having been served such a choice, and will vote for someone not on the menu.   Others will decide which of Trump or Clinton is less horrible and vote for him/her.

Yes,  a divided GOP house will likely hand the White House back to the Clintons.  But there should be no illusions about who is responsible for that division - it is Trump and his supporters, who have been given plenty of opportunities to grow up but still spend more time attacking "fellow" Republicans than the alleged enemy.  We have indeed, as someone pointed out yesterday, met the enemy and he is us.   Every last Trump voter knows of his flaws and just doesn't care.  That's fine - but there should be no pointing of fingers when Hillary's measuring the drapes.

Personally, I am NeverHillary all the way.  But that does not necessarily mean I will be supporting Trump.  What it does mean is that I will wait and see what happens in my state, and I will decide what to do come election day.  If Trump is the GOP nominee and the polling is close in Pennsylvania, then I will likely vote for Trump.  However, if Gary Johnson is polling very strong and Trump is well behind, then I will likely vote Gary Johnson.  Or if Trump somehow blows it and does not get the nomination, then I will consider the GOP nominee.

Being NeverHillary does not necessitate that I support Trump.  It may at some point, but not right now.  There are still avenues open and I see no reason to have to contaminate myself with the Trump stink this early in the game.

It may just be me, but I get irritated when someone who joined this forum less than a month ago posts a vanity in which he tries to convince us (shame us?) to do something that our consciences will not allow.

Trump is the reason this election is a disaster and the GOP is not going to win the WH.  Trump is the reason for the divided GOP, because he isn't a Republican or a Conservative.

I will not be shamed or bullied into doing something that goes against every fiber of my being.......both politically and morally.

I'm not that weak, East, nor are the majority of people on this forum.

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign. -Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

I've folded on this election.

I still think there's a possibility that Trump could be suffering from some degree of dementia/Alzheimer's.  His father had it, and I know personally there's a strong genetic component to the disease.  My husband's grandmother died of dementia a couple of months ago; all five of her sisters died of the same thing.

Bob Corker told "Morning Joe" he spoke with Trump and agreed he would not be joining him onstage last night, but Trump called him out as if the conversation never took place.

Cat, don't you find it odd that there have been a number of candidates that have been vetted (which should correlate to some interest), that have mysteriously decided to bolt at the last minute?  I think you are right.....    If not dementia, probably some kind of bizarre tyrannical, and /or narcisstic behavior.

Even a Lodger at Holiday Inn Express can tell that Trump is mentally ill.

I do not disagree with anything you are saying...but we've got to play the hand we are dealt.

I fold.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

It's sometimes difficult to tell the difference between pathological lying and insanity.

Both are mental illnesses, and Trump could well be suffering from both.
