DALLAS — An evacuation is underway at Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas.

The roads around the building have been closed off and a large police presence is at the scene.

While there have been multiple reports on social media of a bomb threat, neither Dallas police nor Dallas Fire-Rescue have confirmed the reason behind the evacuation.

Thanksgiving Tower has been evacuated and Tower Club will be closed until further notice. All Members and Employee Partners safely exited the building, and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time.

Threat during conference call spurs Thanksgiving Tower evacuation

Quote
DALLAS — A threat made during a business conference call spurred an evacuation of the Thanksgiving Tower early Wednesday evening in downtown Dallas, according to a Dallas police source at the scene.

The source told News 8 the business, based out of St. Louis, called their Dallas office at Thanksgiving Tower to report that a person threatened to blow up the building. The source didn't identify the name of the business.

The roads around the building were closed off and police surrounded the building as they investigated the threat.
