Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer and Bristol Palin get married

Lexington Herald-Leader (Tribune News Service) Published: June 9, 2016 via S&S

 Kentucky Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer and Bristol Palin, who split up about a year ago, have gotten married and are now honeymooning at an undisclosed location, E! Online and other outlets reported.

“Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you’ll end up where you’re supposed to be,” the couple told ET, which first reported the marriage. “We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married! Hard work and God’s grace are the foundation of our new life together, and with the love and support of our family we know we can get through anything.”

The couple have a daughter, Sailor Grace, who is 5 months old.

Photos of Meyer with the child and with Palin, daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, were published online in May, as the former Marine’s name was added to Sailor Grace’s birth certificate after he sought joint custody. More photos surfaced last week.

Palin and Meyer, and Adair County native, planned to get married last year, but called off their wedding in April 2015.

Just curious, why is Bristol Palin's marriage posted under the SCANDAL WATCH section?

Not that I'd necessarily post it in this area but maybe because they had a child when they were not married?

Well, the original marriage date was tanked after Bristol found out that Meyer was still married.  The baby was already on the way at that point.  So I guess Meyer is now divorced and free to remarry.

The Scandal Watch category is for stories about Hillary's emails,  VA hospitals, the IRS abusing conservative groups, etc., that is, misdeeds and unethical behavior by government officials. This is not one of those stories, so it's being moved to General Discussion.
