Clinton: 'Absolutely' zero chance FBI investigation will be problem
By Rebecca Savransky
Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Wednesday emphasized that the FBI investigation into the private email server she used while secretary of State will not be an issue for her in the election.
"Absolutely. That's what I'm saying. That happens to be the truth," Clinton said on Fox News, when asked whether she thinks there is "zero chance" that the FBI investigations into her email server and the investigation into the Clinton Foundation could be problematic for her.
The candidate's appearance on Fox News was rare for Clinton, who typically does interviews with CNN and left-leaning MSNBC.
During the interview, which comes after Clinton became the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee, Fox News' Bret Baier pressed the candidate about her use of a private email server.
Clinton said she is sure there is no possibility she will be indicted over the FBI investigation, reiterating previous comments she made on the issue.
"That is not going to happen," she said.
"There is no basis for it and I'm looking forward to this being wrapped up as soon as possible."
She said she knows the FBI has been interviewing a number of people and has urged cooperation.
"I’m looking forward to also participating," she said.
