The station also has Stephen Deace and Mark Levin. I don't know if they are part of the Salem crew. But it was just pertinent because most of those guys do work for that outfit.  It was only mentioning someone who is in the same company or on the same team, say if this were about a professional football team. Hewitt is reflecting a huge swath of thought at the present time:  if Trump doesn't shape up, he's going to be run out of town.   And the RNC and GOP elected officials can change the rules and make that happen.

A campaign aide to Donald Trump called for conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt to be banned from the Republican National Convention after he said the GOP should change its rules in order to block Trump from winning the nomination.

Dan Scavino, the Trump campaign’s social media director, tweeted on Wednesday that “the RNC should BAN him from attending” the convention.

Earlier on Wednesday, Hewitt said the GOP should change the rules to block Trump, suggesting that they allow the delegates to decide.

"I want to support the nominee of the party, but I think the party ought to change the nominee, because we're going to get killed with this nominee," he said on his radio show. "They ought to get together and let the convention decide."

Yep.  That's the lying liberal fraud stumpy way:  If folks disagree with you, ban 'em!  stumpy Nazi.

I don't know what Hewitt said that got the Trump advisor upset.

It was the second interview where Hewitt said "Mr Trump I asked you about the nuclear triad last interview, How in the name of God can you still be completely ignorant about the nuclear triad?"

To which Trump said "You're not listening Hugh, I'm building a wall."
