WASHINGTON

The White House threatened on Tuesday to veto a Defense funding bill in part because it included a provision designed to ensure the Obama administration cannot transfer prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to Fort Leavenworth in Kansas or elsewhere in the United States.

This is one on which the GOP should definitely go to the mat.  Whatever community/area would receive those guys would become a major target for terrorist attacks here at home.  Screw that.  Not to mention that they could easily become political martyrs for disaffected prisoners in those facilities, and their presence might convert others to their cause even if kept in isolation.

None of this has anything to do with the 'prisoners' or any of the other crap Obama is spewing. Obama does not care anything at all about 'the rights of terrorists' or the safety of the American people. He would gladly, and has already several times, put America and American Troops in danger to accomplish his misguided Leftist agenda. (which is and has always been to atone for the sins of America)

All of this is all about one single issue. And that is, closing the Guantanamo base and giving it to Castro.

All the so called 'reasons' and subterfuge coming out of the WH is nonsense meant to distract from and obfuscate the primary mission.
