Trump 'racism' frenzy engulfs Hill Republicans

This is not the debate elected Republicans wanted to have.

By John Bresnahan, Burgess Everett and Seung Min Kim

06/07/16 06:00 PM EDT

Paul Ryan wanted to talk about fighting poverty. What he got instead, at the kickoff of his much-touted policy agenda on Tuesday, was a barrage of questions about whether Donald Trump is a racist — and whether the House speaker regretted having endorsed the business mogul.

It was that kind of day for Republicans on Capitol Hill.

The furor surrounding Trump's accusations that a federal judge may be biased against him because of his Mexican roots swamped everything. House members and senators spent the day fielding questions about Trump’s remarks — and struggling to square their support for the presumptive nominee with rhetoric seen as increasingly toxic to their own chances of political survival this fall. Or, in the case of endangered Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), ditching Trump altogether.

By the end of the day, Trump had issued a new statement blaming the media for his problems, without apologizing to the Indiana-born federal judge, Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over lawsuits against Trump University. Trump then declared he was done commenting on the matter.

But the damage was already done.

Kirk's statement could hardly have been more pointed had it been written by a Democrat.

Trump is right, The Judge and all who are attacking Trump over this are wrong. About as Un-American as it can get.
Trump is for America First.

Trump's "victory speech" was so pedestrian. He called TPP "PPP" (because he's so effing stupid he doesn't know what TPP is).  And, again in an ad lib, "we're going to take care of our African-Americans in the inner cities."

The man is tone deaf.  He was obviously reading from the Manafort-Priebus approved speech tonight, but he still managed to screw up.

The man is simply awful.  How in hell did this happen, getting stuck with a total ignoramus like this?

Trump is an idiot. His supporters have a choice to make: if they want to be known as one of his kind or not.

Lesser evil voting. People can deny it all they want. Truth is truth.

I'd urge folks to hear the Sage of South Central; the Larry Elder show.

Joe Biden said that, "we're gonna put you back in chains" and Elder listed all of these other incidences, where are people jumping on the Dems when they say stuff? Sonia Sotomayor, Charlie Rangel and so on.

Now, I'm starting to see this as a tempest in a teapot. And he sure told off Stephen Colbert, "getting down with the brothers".

Just like the flap over the weekend over "There's my African American" was a bunch of malarky too.

For the record, Alberto Gonzales was in the La Raza Law Association too. So there goes or may go that criticism.  At least, Elder said that.

NCLR, apparently, La Raza endorsed Gonzales as AG.

Quote
White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales, President Bush’s nominee for attorney general, got the backing of a group that promotes driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, no immigration law enforcement by local and state police and amnesty programs broader than the administration’s proposal.

The National Council of La Raza, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., welcomed the nomination of Gonzales to succeed John Ashcroft.

"The furor surrounding Trump's accusations that a federal judge may be biased against him because of his Mexican roots swamped everything. House members and senators spent the day fielding questions about Trump’s remarks"

Since when does being from Mexico put one in a special "racial" category?

Oh, wait.
I forgot:
=======
MEChA isn’t at all shy about their goals, or their views of other races. Their founding principles are contained in these words in “El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan” (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan):

“In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal gringo invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny. … Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. … We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.”

That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all. It says: “For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing.”

Yup.
My mistake for ignoring the reality that the political groups to which this judge is affiliated chose to align themselves with a political philosophy that claims its members are of "La Raza"....    ;)

Point to Point Protocol? I haven't thought about that since I was on a dial-up connection.

Geez, you think he'd get a little more up-to-date.

Or, as more likely, he's trolling people like you getting TPP back in the news cycle.
