According to a report from Knoxville’s WBIR-TV — a partner of GoVols247 — the Vols donated more than 700 of their old adidas jerseys, along with other compression gear and equipment, to the IFL.
IFL coaching coordinator Dan Phillips told WBIR that Tennessee has become by far the largest donor to the league.
Phillips, who also coaches football at Knoxville’s Bearden High School, said Tennessee’s donation to the league would ease the burden for athletes who have to spend four figures on their own equipment in order to play in a country that has a developing relationship with American football.
