I picked this up at Costco 2 weeks ago and finished it last night...incredible rollicking, rolling & murderous tale of three centuries of Tsars, Emperors, Empresses, regicide, suicide, extreme torture, sexual deviancy of every description, world politics and the ultimate end of a long family line.  Fascinating reading, and it explains a great deal about why Russia is the way it is and probably always will be.  Well worth reading...
