If Nigeria's President sticks to his strategy of fighting the militant group, the implications for the long-run is the correct strategy, but it won't solve any production problems in the short-run. The 800k b/d of production offline will likely remain offline until the militant groups are dealt with, and there is no reassurance that the issues will be solved within the next 12 months.
