It’s a well established fact that Bernie Sanders is the preferred candidate of the Occupy Wall Street movement so it’s no surprise that his supporters are planning to occupy the Democratic National Convention.

Over 17,000 Bernie supporters have already joined the group.

The DNC and RNC screwed up last summer.

Democrats should have told old Bernie to join the party or he wouldn't be allowed to run in the primaries.  He's still not a Democrat.

Priebus should have written Trump out of the primary the same way he rode Todd Akin out by announcing zero support  during the 2012 election.

Now the country is stuck with two septuagenarian crazies and their malcontent supporters.

I really don't care.  I hope they blow up the Democrat convention just as I hope some other group will blow up the GOP Convention.

I would love to see the conventions done away with all together. They cost tens of millions, and invite trouble.  In their place 4 or 5 major regional primary elections, followed by a run-off election of the top 2. The winner of that is nominated as President, the 2nd place winner is nominated as VP. You save millions, It gives all states relevance equally, and you have the best chance of having party unity.
