You're right on both counts.
One of the fundamental (I chose that word with care) reasons that islam is ascendant as The West (and Christianity) declines is that while The West is becoming increasingly "feminized", islam remains (as it has always been) a male-dominated ideology.
As much as anything else, this signals the downfall of The West.
Not only are its birthrates in free fall (because of "liberated" women who now "choose" not to reproduce), its resolve and ability to defend itself are in rapid decline. How many female soldiers are we going to sacrifice upon the altar of "equality"? And how many -males- from The West are interested in fighting to protect and defend both their culture and their women?
If The West had the wisdom of the Japanese -- who permit virtually NO "outsiders" to become Japanese citizens, and who have permitted relatively few muslims in their country -- we -might- have a chance at survival. A hundred years from now, Japan will still be populated by Japanese living in a Japanese culture.
But we -- the whites of [formerly] Christian Europe and The New World -- will be gone.
And along with it, our nations, and the magnificent culture we built called "Western civilization". Resigned pretty much to the history books, until the muslim fundamentalists burn those books.
But this isn't islam's fault.
islam is doing what it has always said it would do.
It's in "their book". Their manual of operations.
It is -we- who have abdicated our duties to protect and propagate what we've built.
And we're going to pay for it.
Or more correctly, those who come -after us- are going to be the ones who do the payin'.
