Donald Trump is at it again, denying an absolutely true accusation made against what he had said. Socialist Senator Elizabeth Warren, no stranger to lying herself, stated that Trump wanted to abolish the Federal Minimum Wage:

Quote
Elizabeth Warren✔‎@elizabethforma

You care so much about struggling American workers, @realDonaldTrump, that you want to abolish the federal minimum wage?
12:55 PM - 11 May 2016

That prompted the King of All Liars to respond:

Quote
Donald J. Trump✔‎@realDonaldTrump

Goofy Elizabeth Warren lied when she says I want to abolish the Federal Minimum Wage. See media—asking for increase!
3:22 PM - 11 May 2016

That’s a slick response, but it doesn’t wash. Trump has said (in his latest position on the matter) that the states could set their own standards, effectively negating any idea of a federal minimum. On Sunday, Trump said on Meet The Press that the federal government should not set a floor for the minimum wage. Here’s the exchange with Chuck Todd:

Quote
Todd: Minimum wage. Minimum wage. At a debate, you know. You remember what you said. You thought you didn't want to touch it. Now you're open to it. What changed?

Trump: Let me just tell you, I've been traveling the country for many months. Since June 16th. I'm all over. Today I'm in the state of Washington, where the arena right behind me, you probably hear, is packed with thousands and thousands of people. I'm doing that right after I finish you. I have seen what's going on. And I don't know how people make it on $7.25 an hour. Now, with that being said, I would like to see an increase of some magnitude. But I'd rather leave it to the states. Let the states decide. Because don't forget, the states have to compete with each other. So you may have a governor --

Todd: Right. You want the fed-- but should the federal government set a floor, and then you let the states--

Trump: No, I'd rather have the states go out and do what they have to do. And the states compete with each other, not only other countries, but they compete with each other, Chuck. So I like the idea of let the states decide.

As Kimberley Strassel of the Wall Street Journal pointed out, Trump had switched his position from his statement on the campaign trail that the current minimum wage was too high and made it difficult for the U.S. to compete. She said, “What part of that agenda are we talking about? When he put out his tax plan, or when he disavowed it this week and said he wasn’t a big fan of his own tax plan? When he said we cannot raise the minimum wage, and then he turned around this week and said, well, yeah, we probably can do that after all?”

The ironic part of this battle between Trump and Warren is that it's a race to see who can reach the socialist finish line first. Now that Trump is openly flirting with Bernie Sanders' supporters, it's not a sure bet any longer that Warren will finish ahead of him.

The leftist media is at it again!  They are trying to smear savior Trump by repeating his own tweets calling for a increase in the job killing minimum wage.

Well I'm not falling for it.  No matter how many times they report what Trump actually tweets, I will devotedly lick his pristine job creating butt orifice.  Thank heaven for position twisting Trump...who is right for America...on every side...of all the issues! :patriot:

"See Media - asking for increase" means look at the media asking for an increase.  Nothing more.

Just like all the other crap coming out lately. The Goal is to twist and spin anything said to train the lemmings to think Trump is reversing himself. He is not and did not say he was raising taxes minimum wage, backing off the temp Muslim ban, deporting illegals, building the wall. But when the deranged live on sound bytes and hate him, its easy to manipulate them and keep them fired up. Stop letting bad people control what you think. Bias is one thing. Gullible is another
Trump is for America First.
"Crooked Hillary Clinton is the Secretary of the Status Quo – and wherever Hillary Clinton goes, corruption and scandal follow." D. Trump 7/11/16

Did you know that the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary?

Trump flips and flops more than a dying carp.  Maybe that's what the Democrats should start calling him?

I don't think Trump understands federalism, or is confused by the concept. Lots of liberals and foreign journalists too do not understand the concept. You can be in favor of no federal minimum wage and still support the minimum wage, just on the state level. Trump can't handle that level of parsing.
