Add Bob Dole to Trump's list of supporters (and the list of those whom the naysayers and whiners on here will feverishly attack).

"Hours later the Trump campaign released a statement from Dole, a former Kansas senator who couldn't stop Bill Clinton's re-election effort 20 years ago, saying he was in the same boat.

'The voters of our country have turned out in record numbers to support Mr. Trump,' said the 92-year-old Dole, who was also the Republican National Committee chairman in the 1970s.

'It is important that their votes be honored and it is time that we support the party's presumptive nominee.'

'We must unite as a party to defeat Hillary Clinton,' Dole added."

Why would we care?  That's the Establishment.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Gotta say I'm disappointed in Cheney. Rick Perry as well. Honestly, I couldn't care less about Dole.   :blank:

  • WE are NOT ok!
Cheney and Dole??  Perhaps they are hoping for a spot in Trump's administration or maybe they'll all go hunting together.  :silly: :silly:
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

This makes sense. Trump admits he 'was' GOP-e until he ran. His natural inclination is big-government statist like the rest of the GOP-e. He'll fit back in nicely with them. He performed his task of keeping Cruz from the nomination. He'll be rewarded now.  :chairbang:

Cruz kept himself from the nomination. People viewed him as cold and calculating. His reputation of being disliked and unpopular with his peers certainly didn't help him.

I'll have to re-read the article. I could have sworn it was about Trump, the presumptive narcissist. I didn't realize it was about Cruz.  :silly:

Darn you, A-lert. Don't bring up facts. Anti-Trumpsters don't like them.
