My prior sarcastic reply was a bit troll-ish, so I have self-censored and removed it.
There have been a ridiculous number of ridiculous stories and blog posts about Trump that mimic the kind of idol worship Obama received in 2008. Some of these sources were fake media sites, tracked back to likely Trump operatives trying to shape the social media narrative. I took the OP's post as such, and responded with sarcasm. However, that doesn't justify posting trollish trash on someone else's thread. (This place isn't FreeRepublic, and I'm not a Trumpkin.)
If Trump gets over 1237, he'll still be a minority candidate within the GOP majority, and he'll go down in flames in November, much the same as Cruz will without Trump supporters. I think it's more accurate to say that Trump won't carry a majority of GOP voters in November than to claim he'll have 1400 delegates by the convention. He can boast of 2000 delegates, but if there aren't real voters behind them, it's just agitprop.
If he gets 1400, it'll only be because of Trump's back room shenanigans. A bully who regularly and successfully worked with "blue state" building trade unions, and used eminent domain to toss the weak onto the streets, ain't gonna have a problem finding a way to flip a couple a hundred delegates to his position on the first ballot, through threats, intimidation, or rewards.
Trump will NOT change hearts and minds via bullying. We know he considers "Lyin' Ted" and "Horseface Carley" (my Trumpist moniker based on Trump's past comments) to be losers, along with everyone who has supported them. We understand, Donald, so, bye. Go get some Hillary voters to replace us.
Regrets on the previous post. Regards.
I'm out.
