Hollywood Film Being Made About Chappaquiddick

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3570555/Hollywood-film-revisit-events-Chappaquiddick-1969.html

It was an event that dashed the chances of Edward Kennedy inheriting his older brother's presidency and appalled millions of Americans.

Now the incident at Chappaquiddick in 1969 that broke the Kennedy grip on the White House will be revisited in an independent feature film.

Edward Kennedy, widely known as Ted, had been driving back from a party on Chappaquiddick Island, off Martha's Vineyard, along with Mary Jo Kopechne, 29, a former aide to his brother Robert, when he took a wrong turn and veered off a narrow bridge.

The car sank in eight feet of water. While he scrambled to safety to save himself, he left Miss Kopechne to drown.

He failed to report the incident for nine hours which was, by his own admission, 'indefensible'.

Let me guess. In the Hollyweird version Mary Jo lives and goes on to help gang members turn their life around in the ghetto.
