In central Texas the bluebonnets are well past their prime, and have mostly been replaced with large swaths of yellow and orange flowers. Sorry I'm not a wildflower expert, so I have no idea what their names are. ^-^
I grew up in Northern Michigan (the Upper Peninsula). In my childhood the four seasons were: Spring (6 weeks, mid-April to end of May), Summer (3 months, June-August), Fall (6 weeks, September to mid-October) and Winter (mid-October to mid-April). It usually snowed before Halloween, and it was not uncommon to get snow well into May.
I don't really miss the cold weather.
