It's a really nice place, even though the name doesn't suggest it.
Cruz gave his speech there the night he won the Texas Primary.
They are looking for a location in the Woodlands, Cypress area to open another one.
The one they have now is in Stafford.

I hope so

I went to Taco Cabana the other day and domestic beers were $1.50 for happy hour, so I asked for a Shiner but they considered it an import.
What's wrong with these people?

We were there also.  At one point I made my way off of the dance floor to go use the restroom and it took me forever to work my way back to hubby.

Yeah, I've had that happen at a local Wings and Things restaurant.
Import just 100 miles west of here.

That right there is grounds for having their Texas citizenship revoked.

We ended up staying on the patio, and met some really great people.  I was inside with a good line of site before Cruz came out, but couldn't take the crowd.

@TheMom
@LadyLiberty.
I am envious.
I should join the RCC soon.
I remember before Cruz took the stage, turning to my wife and saying "Look! They are at the RCC!"
We were wondering if we could crash it without being arrested!LOL.
We would have loved being there

You could have been there, it was free and open to the public (subject to capacity controls).  Most nights you don't have to be a member to go.   Wednesday/Thursday is free and open to the public.  Fridays and Saturdays you might pay a $10 or so more than a member for a ticket, but you can go and don't have to come with a member or even know one.  Occasionally they will have shows that are members only, but that's not often.  And then there are the shows are de facto members only because members get first shot and they sell out before they are made available to the general public, like Willie Nelson.

I'd call it grounds for a false advertising lawsuit myself.

But then I hate lawyers nearly as much as paying full price for Shiner.  decisions, decisions....

Welcome M1078!

Someday, we'll have to get together a local TBR group to meet at the Gristmill or some place in the area.
At this point, I'm thinking end of June timeframe.

What city was that?

My third cousin (or something close to that) was District Clerk in Harris County for years....

Gone now, though. Terrific guy.

Heck., I think most of the conservatives in America are Texans (or at least Wannabe Texans--like the bumper sticker that says "I'm not a native Texan, but I got here as a fast as I could").

Hello, fellow Texans!
Is it just me, or does today seem like it is a little bit harder than normal to get motivaed.
Maybe it is the cloud cover.
Maybe just because it is Monday.
I seem to have a big case of "don't-wanna-do-nuthin" today.
I have to work anyway, and it seems like I have as much done as I normally do, just seems harder to do today.

The drizzly little rain was what bothered me (plus the high humidity this afternoon).  I got a free things done on my new truck (my avatar) getting it ready for parade season but really need to cut the grass.

Fresh meat here, just joined today. But a Texan since '69. Started out in the Panhandle and gradually relocated to the Metromess.

I was on FR last weekend listening to them gnash their teefuses about how poorly Trump gets treated over there. I could not keep my mouth shut so I started messing with them, they didn't appreciate it much and I went through a whole mess of them until they finally got tired of me refusing to shut up. I'm like that sometimes.

I have watched little old ladies who's only sin was posting how much they like Cruz and how they sent him $20 from their SocSec last month. And then I have watched a dozen of them at once tear those harmless little grannies limb from limb for speaking their truth. I hate bullies. I tried to tangle with several of them but they gang up, you can't defend yourself against a crowd, so I finally just stopped going to those threads. Until last weekend, first time in a couple of months, felt good, felt righteous.

Now I'm over here, didn't even know this place existed, but I'm glad y'all found me. I became a Texan when I was in the 8th grade and Coach Key made all of us in his Texas History class memorize, then recite before the entire class Travis' letter "To The People of Texas and all Americans in the world" he wrote from that little chapel down in Bexar. That changed my life. Gave me, a confused 14-yo, something to be proud of, and something to love a besides 15-yo girl named Alicia. I wonder whatever happened to that girl, she had really nice ... umm ... assets.

God Bless America, and God Bless Texas.

And, as always, my opinions are worth exactly what you pay for them.
