No idea where you come up with this stuff...its like you want to slip on the martyr apparel and pretend your religious views are under siege. Sound the alarms! Let me assure you, your religious freedom is not under assault from me...or Mr. Trump for that matter. I don't want my president to preach, nor my preacher to lecture me on politics...is that what you find threatening?
My view is akin to the founders, mixing government and religion does harm to both. I want everyone entirely free to practice their own moral code in their lives without government interference. For example, I'm disgusted that a baker would be required to make a cake for a gay wedding. That's totally unacceptable and a violation of religious freedom. Ditto for making groups pay for abortions, albeit indirectly, under Obamacare. Those are egregious violations of religious liberty in my view. The point I'm stumbling towards, is that I'm not arguing from anything that remotely resembles a liberal position. My perspective is to keep government and religion apart whenever possible....they are not good partners. The Founding Father's fully understood this.
And Trump doesn't debase women...he has a sharp wit that can often debase ANY subject it goes after, but he in no way singles out women more than he does men. Likewise with various groups the Dems want the country to be divided into. I'm not a fan of that side of Mr. Trump, but I'd prefer candid and a bit crass...to controlled and just repeating talking points from a teleprompter.
It seems you buy into the liberal approach that asserts if you insult one woman, you've somehow insulted all women and are now a misogynist. I guess that would make you a female chauvinist as you've attacked one man...Mr. Trump, and his male supporters. Right?
Trump is an equal opportunity insulter...though I'll acknowledge that women seem to find that more bothersome than most men do. But then again, women tend to be classier and smarter than we fellas...I know this, as I have a wife THREE daughters (all Trump supporters...though the 11 year old can't vote just yet =)
You really should study up on the Founders more, Mesaclone. You don't know what you're talking about when you say they wanted to separate morality and character from American culture.
As for 'religious freedom'...... it's under assault by the left. The freedom to practice one's religion....... even to speak about morality in churches........... is being taken away. Now I can see that you, individually don't care because it seems like you'd like us to be silenced, but that's neither here nor there.
And the silliness about Trump's only attacking one women and somehow my noting his misogyny is "liberal," well.. that's a desperate reach and as illogical as anything you've said so far. He has a history of sexism. He has a history of debasing women. He has a history of abusing women for his own gratification.
Presenting him as some sort of political Don Rickles is just dumb....... and shows a total disregard for women in general, not just those whom he has specifically and crudely attacked.
At any rate, 75% of American women don't want a misogynist as President, and I'm one of them.
And whether you like it or not, I'm going with the Founders and the importance of recognizing God's gift of freedom, life, and opportunity. The farther away we get from integrity and morality, the farther away we get from what this county was founded on.
You can say whatever you like against Christians and morality. It shows a fundamental ignorance that can't be corrected on an internet forum.
