Nancy Pelosi: ‘Being a Woman is No Longer a Pre-Existing Medical Condition’
(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi today listed a number of things she believes mark the progress that has been made since President Barack Obama took office, including how being a woman is treated by health insurance plans.
“The differences to when President Obama took office and now in terms of so many of the metrics, whether it’s the--well, we’ve been through it,” she said.
“The deficit is 70 percent lower," she said. "The unemployment is half of what it was. The stock market is more than 10,000 points, more than 10,000 points, ahead. The auto industry is thriving when it was on its heels at that time when he took office.
“20 million people now have health insurance who didn’t,” she continued, “and those many who had health insurance have it in a better way--no pre-existing conditions, no life-time limits. And being a woman is no longer a pre-existing medical condition. The list goes on and on.”
