Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson entertains presidential campaign
« on: March 26, 2016, 06:47:15 pm »
You went full WWE, never go full WWE.

Quote
Can you smell what The Rock is cooking -- on Pennsylvania Avenue?
Wrestling star and actor Dwyane Johnson entertained a possible political career Friday, tweeting out interest in making a bid for president.
"Cool piece on why I should run for President. Maybe one day. Surely the White House has a spot for my pick up truck," Johnson tweeted, linking to a story that laid out why he should occupy the White House. ...

Johnson is a Republican and has also engaged in some political comedy, reprising his "Saturday Night Live" character "The Rock Obama" last year. In the sketch, Johnson portrays the angry version of President Barack Obama, punishing the famously even-keel President's opponents....

He seems too mild mannered for a run. Today you have to be a circus clown and a loud mouth.

Still better than Trump.
At least his catch phrases are honestly fake.

Not feeling it.  Trump is WWE also.  The WWE is a bunch of raunchy insulting remarks and showmanship.  It is all about vulgar entertainment.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

He'll never run. He's too nice a guy. And WAY too busy. Not only is he filming pretty much 24/7 and still wrestling a lot, but he is in constant demand by Make a Wish - never turns a kid down. Add in his fitness regime, which is pretty much a career in it's own right and he's putting in 30 hour days!

Yes, I admire him. Why'd you ask?  :tongue2:

Just like much of what appears on the small and big screen and in politics.

I know, I was being sarcastic. I've often compared Trump's campaign to a WWE storyline. (Trump used to be part owner of the WWE).

Have you read about his calorie intake when he bulked up for GI Joe?  It was along the lines of 20 eggs, 2 dozen pancakes, 8 cups oatmeal, a couple dozen peaches... It was crazy. He said on his cheat days he would eat a couple sheets of brownies, (not a couple brownies, a couple sheets of them).

Actually, yes. He almost ruined them.

I waded through that crap to find no evidence that Trump almost ruined it.

He may be an improvement over the current crop of candidates.
