Pressure from Republicans for John Kasich to drop out of the race for the GOP presidential nomination is continuing to grow — but the third-place Ohio governor insists he's not quitting.

During a campaign rally in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Wednesday, Kasich told supporters he believes he'll do well in upcoming primaries in The Badger State, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey and Rhode Island, The Post Crescent newspaper reports

"We're going to do fine," Kasich said, adding he's staying in the race in a bid to beat Donald Trump and Ted Cruz — a fete which numbers-crunchers say is impossible statistically and could only occur during a brokered convention.

Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson, who trumpeted Kasich's candidacy at the rally, added: "We've got to select somebody who can beat Hillary Clinton!"

Thompson noted that several national polls show Kasich is the only GOP candidate in the race ahead of Clinton.

Many Republicans fear Kasich's presence in the race weakens second-place Ted Cruz and will help front-runner Donald Trump win the GOP nomination — a scenario they're working around the clock to avoid.

I would not believe one thing from the media about the election.  They have an agenda other than reporting and it is tarnishing their thinking on everything.

I like Kasich. Not a fan of his immigration stance but that's pretty much out the window now as I think Hillary might beat both Trump and Cruz.

Whatever works at this point.
