Religious freedom wins again!

The Sacramento department of public assistance has lost an appeal by a religious employee who was required to promote abortions to pregnant women currently on welfare.

Jan England asked twice for a religious exemption to the mandate and was consequently fired.

Now, through an appeal process, jan has received both back pay, and a financial settlement.

Sacramento County is also revising its policy. Staff are being trained to respond to future religious exemption requests in a respectful and accommodating manner.

We praise God that Jan was willing to stand for her pro-life beliefs.
